Why is there a bump or swelling on my gums?
A bump or swollen gums could mean you
have an infection from a tooth or from the gingiva. Bleeding or pus is
an indication of infection and you should have a dentist evaluate the
area. If you ignore it, the infection can spread and cause other
problems. Usually infection is initially treated with antibiotics and
pain medication. Then depending on the severity of the infection around
this tooth, a root canal and crown or extraction. The picture to the
